Hales Hawks East 1 Vs 5 Celtic Athletic

The tough start to the season continued today with us away to H.H.E & when the whistle was blown to start the game both teams looked up for it.Celtic’s first attempt came when Mattie drove the ball across the box to Charlie who’s shot at goal was well saved by the keeper. Within a minute Demarco was pushed over in the box & a penalty was awarded, Jordan stepped up to put it away with pomp. Well taken mate H.H.E 0 x Celtic 1. Celtic continued to apply pressure to the H.H defence & when Kallam put in a cross from out wide on the right it was headed home by Charlie, Goodcross Good header.H.H.E 0 x Celtic 2 . With Celtic 2 nil up you would have thought it was a one sided game but it was far from that H.H never dropped there heads & were competitive all over the field. H.H first chance came when Alex kick fell to a H.H player who chipped Alex but Omar got back & headed it clear. This was Omar’s last bit of action as he was taken off ill, good effort Captain, Reagan took his place.15 minutes in & Celtic were awarded a corner Mattie put in a nice cross which was half cleared by the H.H defence the ball fell to Odell just onthe edge of the box which he didn’t fail to put into the top corner of the Goal. H.H.E 0 x Celtic.3 . H.H kept trying to brake us down with there wingers but Kerion & Connor kept them at bay Leaving Regan clear to control the box.The last attack of the first half came when Kallam passed to Mattie who put in another good cross to Odell who’s headier was well saved by the keeper.Half Time H.H.E 0 x Celtic 3 The second half saw Neil try to shake things up a bit, Odell & Mattie were replaced by Jay & Jake. The first 10 minuets saw H.H try to get themselves back into the game but again the defence stood strong & then from a breakaway Celtic won a corner which Jay floated to the far past for Charlie to put away for his 2nd goal of the game.H.H.E 0 x Celtic 4 . Again H.H never let there heads drop & kept going at us but on the otherhand we never really looked in to much trouble but also never really looked sharp, it looked like we were satisfied in doing just enough.Jay showed just how good a engine he has & coupled with his willingness to work showed Celtic the way.H.H were awarded a throw in which saw a H.H player score a goal from outside the box.H.HE 1 x Celtic 4 . With 10 minuets left on the clock Kerion was subbed & Odell was brought back on, Well played mate.Another change soon followed Chaz was replaced by Mattie. Well played mate. With less than 5 minuets left on the clock Jay was rewarded for his efforts when a shot from Charlie was parried by the keeper to Jay who with his Knee put the ball into the back of the net. Well taken mate.H.H.E 1 x Celtic 5 Minutes later the whistle blow for full time. I thought the H.H.E keeper was there motm. Great quote from the Gaffer good result but could play better.
